Our Programming Sectors
The backdrop of disintegration of the Somalia social fabric during the civil war, where millions were displaced internally or were taken to the refugee camps in neighboring countries has come with huge needs for housing, water, health facilities, food security/livelihood, education, and employment opportunities. Generations of youth do not have access to proper schooling and health facilities. In this respect, diseases such as malaria and malnutrition have become endemic and recurrent in the country and have taken away the lives of many people, among them many vulnerable children.
From this backdrop, KHADO is committed to delivering the much needed humanitarian service in the emergency times and during transition to development stages while also advocating for better Somalia where good governance and human rights is protected and defended. To this end, KHADO will be in the frontline to deliver humanitarian relief and development services by mobilizing resources through proposal writing and fundraising from both local and international non-governmental organizations and other donors to meet the needs of the most vulnerable members of the community in hardly accessible areas of Somalia.
